My name is Sotires ("Sotos") Pagiavlas and I am an Assistant Professor of Marketing at the Smeal College of Business at The Pennsylvania State University.
My research primarily focuses on how regulatory interventions influence behavior in marketplaces where the status quo harms welfare.
My work showing that a regulator's digital marketing campaign increased consumer recall compliance was published in the Journal of Marketing. My current projects study regulatory interventions aimed at unfair trade, dangerous consumption, and financial misconduct.
